I am so excited that you'll be joining me and tons of amazing women
in the Live More Weigh Less Fall Challenge!
Here are your challenges:
Day #1
Monday, 9/15: Pucker Up! Wear bright lipstick
We're kicking things off with our most popular challenge from last year (this is our only repeat). Wearing a bright lip can be scary. A lot of us can feel like, "well SHE can wear it and look great, but I could never get away with it, too showy." Not true. You are worth standing out today. You are worth drawing attention to. You are worth showing your boldness. Don't be beige, be bright. My favorite lip color is "so chaud" by mac. I highly recommed going to a MAC counter and getting help finding a great lip color for you. You'll just feel like a million bucks richer and 10 pounds lighter. Make sure to post a pic of you puckering up on social media. I can't wait to see your smile!
Day #2
Tuesday, 9/16: Take a small step towards your dream
Are you the type of person who is waiting to lose twenty pounds or make fifty grand to get started on those dreams of yours? I know how overwhelming tackling that HUGE project of making a dream come true can feel, but if you don't do something about it today (yes, today) it's probably never gonna come true. I want you to take a super small, minuscule step towards that dream today and post what you do to instagram or facebook.
Years ago I had a dream to help women heal from emotional eating in a big way. I remember sitting in Think Coffee with Jonathan saying, "wouldn't it be cool if I could be a therapist just for people who over eat and have body image issues?" After he reminded me that I hated school and doing 6 more years of formal education probably wasn't the best idea, I did a quick google search and stumbled upon "The Institute for Integrative Nutrition". The next day I was on the phone with them, a week later I was inrolled for their next session. Sitting in that cafe, if all felt hard and impossible but I took a few small actions (said it out lound, googled, made a phone call) and it just flowed. And now I have one of the most popular emotional eating programs on the internet.
On Wednesday 9/17 I'm hosting a "Back to School Night with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition" to talk about my experience there. I have a special surprise to share during the call for all participants, so be sure to sign up. Maybe this is the small step you need to take today? To sign up, go to SarahJenks.com/IIN.
Day #3
Wednesday, 9/17: Delegate
I've always been a good delegater, but when I had Marshall I had to get laser clear on what I wanted to spend my time doing. My priorities are taking care of myself, keeping the romance alive with Jonathan, spending quality time with Marshall and doing the most high leverage work in the least amount of time possible in my business.
I had to outsource a ton of the things I used to spend my time doing. I now have a house keeper who comes twice a week and does all of my errands for me, I get my groceries delivered, I have an operations manager and a community care specialist for my business, I cook when I can but get meals delivered when I'm not in the mood, and I have an amazing nanny for Marshall.
I do all of this because I want to be a happy, calm, well fed, rested wife and mother. #HappyMomHappyBaby. I want you to delegate something in your life today and let us know what it is!
Day #4
Thursday, 9/18: Organize your desk
I love fall, it's full of fabulous "back to school" energy. Today I want you to organize your desk and post a pic. My friend and interior coach Rebecca McLoughlin taught me that having an organized and calm workspace not only looks beautiful, but helps me take my work to a whole new level. I don't even work at home anymore (I'm a cafe girl now) but still having my desk organized attracts more prosperity, fosters clarity and inspires laser focused concentration where ever I am.
Speaking of laser focused concentration, I want to jam on this for a moment because I think it is so important. If you can get your work done in half the time, you have a lot more time to live more and ... weigh less!
Here are my three secrets to working smarter not harder:
1. No facebook, no email. I only spend the last hour of my day on those two things. If you need to be in your email for work, only check it for the first 15 min of every hour. The biggest time suck is doing two things at once.
2. If you need a break, go outside. Don't check facebook, don't go on a blog, don't buy another coffee. Air will clear your head and make the next block of work time so much more productive.
3. Find your sweet spot. Literally. What environment is best suited to your work? Do you need to re decorate your office, or move your stuff to a common work space? Do you work better at a cafe than at home? Do you need certain music playing? Complete silence or bubbling energy of strangers buzzing around. I work best in a beautiful cafe with only people watching to distract me.
Day #5
Friday, 9/19: Self(ie) Love
I've realized that the reason new moms post so many pictures of their babies is because they don't want to post any pics of themselves! I know selfies can get a bad rap, but I actually believe they can be really healing. As you know, I don't feel like a super model these days, but that doesn't mean I'm in hiding. Showing my face online to me says "I'm here, I'm beautiful, I'm worthy." The best form of self love. Today I want you to post a selfie to show self love. If you need some inspiration, watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFkm1Hg4dTI.
Day #6
Saturday, 9/20: Bust a move
So I dance, a lot, I try out fun classes and do Liz DiAlto's Wild Soul Movement. Working out is a way to get into my body and to connect with her, not just to burn calories. Because I focus on FUN I do it all the time without needing to psych myself up. So today, I want you try out Wild Soul Movement, for free! And snap a pic or better yet, take a video. Working out shouldn't be painful. It should be pleasurable. if you want to join me and Liz for a complimentary coaching session, please visit sarahjenks.com/wsm to sign up.
Day #7
Sunday, 9/21: Be a kid
Fall is just the best. It brings back memories of apple picking, jumping in leaf piles and wearing an ungodly amount of plaid. Today I want you to do something child-like. Take a trip to an orchard, make caramel apples, wear a crown of red leaves. Snap a pic and show us what you're up to.
